Monday, November 10 - "Ram for a Day" Shadow Day & Group Tours

Wondering about what a day in the life at MVS is like? Become a Ram for a Day! Students in grades 5-11 are invited to visit classes on Monday, November 10, to shadow current middle and upper school students. Prospective families with children in grades JPK-12 are invited to join for an in-depth group tour experience on Monday, November 10! More info at registration link below.

Admissions Process

Step 1:

Application Form & Parent Questionnaire

To start your child's admission process, begin by filling out our quick application form and parent questionnaire.

Step 2:

Supporting Documents

Depending on your child's age, this next component of your application might include letters of recommendation from your child's current teachers, school records and transcripts, and a personal applicant statement. All materials are submitted to MVS through our secure application platform and kept strictly confidential.
Step 3:

Visit MVS

Applicants in grades 1-12 visit MVS on a school day and/or conduct a video chat with admissions and division staff.

Applicants to the early childhood school (grades JPK-K) are invited to take part in small-group visit days on a Saturday morning in February. Individual visits or virtual visits can be arranged.

Applicants may be asked to engage with MVS staff for additional assessment in addition to the above steps.
Step 4:

Admissions Decision

Admissions decisions are issued by the end of March for applicants with completed application files by early March, including all supporting documents and the applicant visit. Early decisions are given for applicants to grades 1-12 who have completed the application process in the fall or winter for grades in which space is known to be available for the following fall. Families are encouraged to complete their applications by February 1 for priority consideration.

The Miami Valley School invites students from all over the world to attend. Applicants are evaluated thoroughly to ensure that they have the greatest potential for success in the English speaking environment of a rigorous American academic institution.

Transportation

Public school bus service to and from MVS is available to eligible students in the Beavercreek and Centerville school districts.
Routes and availability of transportation are subject to change or elimination by the public school district.

To help facilitate the organization of carpools, MVS provides parents with resources to identify families who live near them.
