    The School

    The Role   
    MVS seeks an Associate Director of Innovation who will cultivate an inclusive, welcoming environment that encourages participation from individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. This inspiring, creative person, in collaboration with the Assistant Head of School, is responsible for developing and implementing a forward-thinking vision for the Reddy Student Union Innovation Labs, identifying emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities to assure the Innovation Lab’s capabilities and impact. Simultaneously, the Associate Director of Innovation oversees and leads the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Reddy Student Union Innovation Labs. This individual will teach one upper school elective each term in addition to supporting the training of faculty and students wanting to utilize the space and associated resources within it, assuring it serves as a hub for creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning across all divisions.

    • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of existing fabrication tool ranging from 3-D printers to woodworking equipment;
    • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities to assure the Innovation Lab’s capabilities and impact;
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or workshops;
    • Support the pursuit of grant opportunities as they arise.

    Primary Responsibilities
    As this is a new role, these are the things that need to be addressed in the near term. 

    • Establish and ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices for all equipment in the Innovation Lab;
    • Develop and execute a forward-thinking vision for the Innovation Lab aligned with the School’s mission and goals;
    • Responsibly managing Innovation Lab budget/expenses in accordance with Business Office guidelines;
    • Collaborate with the Assistant Head of School to establish a continuity of curriculum and instruction from early childhood through 12th grade;
    • Create and oversee the Innovation Lab Advisory Board by holding regular meetings to connect with the community, solicit feedback, and stay on top of recent trends in the field;

    The following are the long-term goals that need to be addressed. 

    Leadership and Management: 
    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, electronics, woodworking equipment, and other fabrication tools;
    • Manage the physical labor of maintaining the Innovation Labs and associated resources;
    • Provide hands-on support and guidance to Innovation Lab users on equipment and project development;

    Programming and Education: 
    • Teach an upper school Innovation course in the fall and spring terms.
    • Lead/Co-lead/Support a January immersion term program or January Immersion Term Programs based upon the needs of the School;
    • Fulfill all other responsibilities that may occur outside the school day, including writing progress reports and planning, etc.
    • Organize events, challenges, and exhibitions to promote a culture of innovation and showcase projects: 

    Community Building and Outreach: 
    • Participate in the life of the school, attending school-related functions, which include but are not limited to: Caregiver Information Nights (CIN), Graduation, the Maker Faire, etc.;
    • Offer three or more week-long summer camps and after-school programs for students in the Innovation Lab;
    • Partner with Admissions to provide STEAM opportunities for prospective students and their families, ex.) A STEAM night;
    • Develop partnerships with external organizations, schools, businesses, and industry leaders to enhance resources and opportunities for Innovation Lab users;
    • Partner with the Director of Communications to promote the Innovation Lab through marketing, social media, and community engagement initiatives;

    Innovation and Strategic Growth: 
    • Identify emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities to expand the Innovation Lab’s capabilities and impact;
    • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of Innovation Lab activities, gathering feedback to improve operations and the educational program. 

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, design, education, art, technology, or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with tools and technology commonly used in Innovation Labs;
    • Experience managing and maintaining an Innovation Lab, fabrication lab, or similar environment, preferred
    • Experience teaching engineering, CAD, or STEAM subjects at the secondary or collegiate level;
    • Background in education, program development, or community engagement is highly desirable;
    • Ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups and effectively manage multiple projects;
    • Ability to work with minimal levels of guidance and high levels of initiative;
    • Demonstrated a curious and inquisitive nature, particularly related to solving problems and discovering how things work.

    Reports to:

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. (20 hours per week)

    The Facilities Team Member will be reliable and detail-oriented, focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our Student Union and Dining Hall. This position is critical for ensuring that high-traffic student areas and administrative spaces are sanitized and ready for daily use.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining hall, with a primary focus on cleaning and sanitizing immediately following the last lunch period each day.
    • Dining Hall & First Floor Maintenance:
      • Sweep and mop hard flooring surfaces daily.
      • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and common seating areas.
      • Empty all trash and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed.
      • Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring all dispensers are filled.
    • Second Floor Facilities:
      • Dust-mop and wet-mop hard floors; vacuum all carpeted areas.
      • Clean and sanitize offices, classrooms, and conference rooms.
      • Maintain common areas and hallways to ensure they are free of debris.
      • Clean restrooms and high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches).
    • Other Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Grounds to ensure the effective operation of the facility and campus.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment
    • Frequently lift equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
    • Crawl, climb ladders, twist, turn and reach in completing a variety of job duties.
    • Work outside in hot or cold conditions for extended periods of time.
    • Work in a wide variety of environments as found in all areas of the school.

    Qualifications 
    • At least 1 year of facilities and/or custodial experience in a school setting (preferred)
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must be able to pass a BCI & FBI background check

    Title: School Nurse

The school nurse would establish a supportive and engaging environment for students (early childhood- 12th grade), demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and caregivers, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency with managing both the routine, as well as the urgent with the utmost professionalism.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Consult with school leadership regarding student health services.
    • Help identify health and safety hazards.
    • Investigates student injuries as needed.
    • Recommends policy revisions based upon professional guidelines and standards.
    • Sets up the clinic; requests and orders essential supplies; promotes the proper use and care of school property; oversees the cleaning, repair, and replacement of clinic equipment.
    • Develops procedures to ensure that all medicines are stored safely. 
    • Regularly reevaluates school procedures for dispensing medications and training faculty and staff.
    • Provides assistance to sick and injured students. 
    • Administers first aid as necessary.
    • Ensures that the immunization status of all students is in compliance with State law and files the annual State report(s).
    • Performs all required State minimum screening activities, and other screening deemed necessary.
    • Reviews completed medical emergency authorization forms.
    • Trains faculty and staff yearly to provide assistance to students through First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, bloodborne pathogens, and mandated reporting/child abuse in-service training.
    • Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.
    • Maintains the confidentiality of privileged and protected health information, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
    • Reports evidence of suspected child abuse as required by law.
    • Partners with our dining partner FISD to provide up-to-date information concerning student dietary restrictions;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications 
    • Current registered nurse (RN) license or BSN from an accredited nursing program required. School Nurse certificate preferred.
    • Current certification in CPR/ AED/ First aid. First Aid Instructor preferred.
    • Meet all mandated health requirements.
    • Submit to a BCI/FBI criminal background check.
    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of normal human growth and development.
    • Demonstrate the ability to access pharmacology information and community health resources appropriate to the needs of students.

    Primary EdChoice Scholarship Program Responsibilities
    • Oversee the EdChoice Scholarship program. This entails: 
      • Collecting EdChoice Scholarship application materials
      • Providing application support for families
      • Applying to the state on behalf of each student
      • Keeping all records up to date to meet the requirements of the state
      • Process scholarship payments from the state
      • Other duties as needed to support the program.
    Primary Enrollment Responsibilities
    • Support admissions activity, guiding prospective families from inquiry to tour to application and beyond through personalized communication, tours, and events.
    • Send records requests for newly enrolled students. 
    • Assist with parent and student ambassador programs: recruiting, matching, training, and supervising.
    • Assist with internal and external communications, including emails, event invitations, and admissions materials.
    • Support enrollment events internally and externally.
    • Communicate with inquiries through the website chat platform.
    • Coordinate prospective students visit days by checking schedules and confirming plans with faculty and student hosts. 
    • Publicize within the school community the endeavors of the department and give recognition to exceptional achievement.
    • Share the MVS message with feeder schools and others who may send or refer families to MVS.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.
    Primary Business Office Responsibilities
    • Process accounts payable and support procurement by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, collecting and organizing vendor documentation (W9s, signed agreements, proof of insurance), and maintaining vendor records. 
    • Preparation and filing of annual 1099s for vendors. 
    • Manage Facilities Rentals by coordinating rental requests, processing deposits, and reserve spaces. 
    • Support Parent Association and Student Class and Club budgets by managing reimbursement requests, tracking and reporting on available funds, and providing regular, timely reporting. 
    • Manage cash boxes for clubs and athletics through collection and reconciliation of cash, ensuring accurate record-keeping and monthly deposits to the bank. 
    • Assist with billing of incidental charges on student accounts throughout the year. 
    • Support departmental reporting by preparing regular monthly or quarterly summaries, as well as ad hoc reports, to provide organized and accurate information. 
    • Support process improvements and internal controls: follow established procedures, identify gaps, and escalate issues as needed.
    • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in all business office processes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial & Operations Officer.

    Qualifications 
    • Bachelors degree in a related field
    • Strong communication skills, background in program management, ability to work independently, attention to detail, collaborative approach
    • Previous experience working in a business office is preferred.

    The ideal candidate has the ability to engage constituents and a demonstrated track record of securing gifts with an emphasis on philanthropic gifts that are five-figure and above. 

    This person brings a strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and how they integrate into donor conversations and long-term campaign planning.     Primary Responsibilities - Fundraising & Donor Engagement
    • Demonstrated success closing philanthropic gifts with an emphasis on five-figure gifts and above, from cultivation through stewardship. Will carry a diverse constituent portfolio.
    • Experience developing and growing a planned giving program, including the ability to discuss legacy and estate giving options.
    • Strategic thinker with experience building or scaling advancement programs, including prospect pipeline development and donor portfolio management.
    • Commitment to donor stewardship as an ongoing relational practice, not a transactional step.
    • Creating strategic initiatives and, at times, lead organization-wide outreach, alumni, and advancement events.
    • Build collaborative partnerships with students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni families. 
    • High emotional intelligence with the ability to listen deeply, read a room, and adapt communication style to meet donors and stakeholders where they are.
    • Team focused with a commitment to providing leadership and support with creating, organizing, and executing advancement office events. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, faculty, volunteers, and community partners to advance shared goals.

    Qualifications 
    • An undergraduate degree or higher is preferred
    • 3+ years of fundraising experience, major gift giving experience required
    • A willingness to be a positive, present, and engaged member of the community
    • A willingness to travel as needed and be out of town for events
    • A willingness to commit to the schools’ initiatives around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    • Successful experience working within the community and/or alumni relations
    • Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals
    • Proven computer skills and comfort with technology; experience with CRM programming

The ideal candidate is a passionate and skillful director, who is eager to invest their talents in our upper school a cappella program. This choral director should establish a supportive and engaging environment for students ranging from 9th - 12th grade, demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, work collaboratively with colleagues and caregivers, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a teaching proficiency and comfort with a variety of different teaching and learning styles.     • Ability to sight read, arrange/transpose vocal parts;
    • Microphone technique and Sound system skills are a plus;
    • Choreography skills are a plus;
    • Candidates without prior directing experience will be considered;

    • Lead/Co-lead an Immersion program in January;
    • Develop and propose new courses each year, including new Immersion programs;
    • Serve as an advisor for a group of 10-12 students in Middle and Upper Schools;
    • Lead and/or advise extracurricular activities, which include student clubs and athletics;
    • Report to the appropriate Division Director.
     
    Qualifications
    • Possess a desire to work with students in an experiential setting;
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents;
    • Possess excellent communication skills;
    • Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in teaching, advising clubs, coaching athletics, and/or leading student travel learning programs;
