MVS is proud to welcome artist-in-residence Shon Walters to campus for the next two weeks! Mr. Walters is a Dayton-based artist known for his furniture, woodworking, and functional art. He is a previous recipient of the Ohio Arts Council’s prestigious Individual Excellence Award. While at MVS, Mr. Walters will primarily mentor students in upper school sculpture class.

MVS is able to enjoy this artist-in-residence program thanks in part to an investment of public funds from the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) in the form of a grant. The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically. Thank you to the OAC and to Shon Walters for enhancing our campus with this educational opportunity!
