MVS Mandarin Students Earn National Awards

MVS upper school Mandarin students participated in the 2026 Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools National Chinese Talent Contest, where they showcased their cultural knowledge and Chinese language skills. Junior cellist Wyatt E. '27 earned second place for his solo performance of “Big Fish,” and junior trumpet player Gavin B. '27 earned third place for his solo performance of “Those Years.” Senior vocalist Mia B. '26 and junior vocalist Johnathan P. '27 won second place for their duet, “Do You Know?” Senior and sophomore dancers Maya P. '26, Kennedi W. '26, Mia B. '26, and Elaine S. '28 won second place for their group long fan dance performance. Junior artist Trip P. '27 also earned third place for a traditional Chinese horse painting.
